We're back for Spring! recycles is back as of April 7th. 

recycles, an initiative of the Office of Sustainability, is UChicago's bike share program. We have 35 bikes (including a tandem!) at 5 locations on campus. Its available to all UofC students, faculty, staff, and alumni with a valid CNET ID. 

A partnership with Blackstone Bicycle Works, a local nonprofit organization that mentors youth in the neighborhood, recycles’ fleet of refurbished bicycles and relatively low-tech design enables us to offer it for free to users.

Registration is easy and takes only a few minutes. Once you have registered, you will receive various program materials via email. Please take the time to review them. A few key points to note:

  • Hours are determined by daylight and front desk staffing:
Ratner Athletics Center
Everyday: 8:30am–7pm
Regenstein Library
M–F: 8:30am–7pm
Sat: 9am–7pm 
Sun: 10am–7pm

Logan Center for the Arts
M-Sat: 8:30–7pm
Sun: 11am–7pm

53rd Street Metra
Everyday: 10am–6pm

6045 Kenwood
M-F: 8:30–5pm 

  • You must return the bike the same day and to the same location
  • Bikes are available in a variety of styles and sizes
  • Please use a helmet and be mindful of pedestrians
